Gone gone gone
Mom left yesterday morning. I dropped her off at the airport around 8 am...Jannis watched the girls. I was sad, I miss her already! Jannis stuck around for the morning and then Denise popped by in the afternoon so I had company, which was nice. It seems very quiet here today. I guess I will have to get used to it.
Our computer has been acting up. I am not sure what is happening, according to our antivirus software we do not have a virus but I am not convinced. Too many things are going wrong. I've got to get wireless set up so I can use my mac again and avoid these PC problems.

Grey Cup & Canasta
Haha, All the Dodd's came over yesterday for the grey cup and I don't even know who won! I think it was the BC Lions, given the amount of yelling going on in the living room! It's been pretty loud here before but I think that was the loudest it has been. Reminded me of dinners at Grammie Donaher's sometimes! Haha. Jannis and Adrian left not to long after the game ended and the rest of us re-learned or learned to play Canasta, we only had time for one game, which Denise and Emily won. Mom and I did okay, but Chris and Bill didn't do so great at all. It was pretty amusing for us as those two are so competitive. It was also funny for me to see Emily gloat as she's not so competitive but has to listen to Bill's or her kids gloating all that time...hahaha. All in a fairly enjoyable day. It's always interesting getting the Dodd's together! I think we will be playing more of Canasta, I always enjoy games of chance.

no news
No real news to report. The girls have discovered EACH OTHER! Woo. It's pretty exciting for them I think. If you hold them up so they can look at each other they have a great time smiling, cooing and laughing at the faces the other is making. It's pretty adorable. We've always thought it so strange that although they bop each other on the head etc. while lying next to each other they don't seem to be aware that there is another baby next to them. I've tried to take some video of the mutual discovery but I'm not sure how that has worked. I had some trouble with the camera (needing a new tape at a time when you have to be quick, argh!)
Chris has gone and returned on his first foray into the field since the girls were born. I think he enjoyed it. It wasn't all that strange for me as mom is still here but it will be different once I'm on my own I think!
The girls are still growing gangbusters, Lucy's closing in on 10 lbs and Kate is nearly 11 lbs now.
Chris and I took the girls and went to Babies' R' Us yesterday. That was fun. We bought a few cute outfits. We also met another woman who has a 3 month old boy with a heart condition as well. I can't remember the name of his condition but he had one heart surgery at 2 daysold and another one yesterday...he will have his first open heart surgery at around a year I guess. I think she said he will have 8 procedures by the time he's done with them as an adult. I think Lucy will have 4. She was a really nice woman and I am going to try to stay in touch. It's nice to meet someone who is dealing with the same sort of thing.
I guess that's all the news here!
