Anyway, I'm currently in New Brunswick for a much needed visit. Have 3 weeks to go out of 5. The girls are having a blast. So much freedom is quite heady stuff for them. Living in the city (even if our little section of city is pretty relaxed) is nothing like living in the country. It's a little odd for me too, although I'm (gulp) getting used to it..but I don't see them for at least half the day, if not more..they are too busy out playing and running around to think about whining and fighting most of the time, so it's just food and injuries that I'm sought out for. It's going to take some readjusting to a smaller space again when we get back to Vancouver. Got grant us all patience with it (kids included).
Despite the slower pace, and fewer kid demands, I've not got any of the stuff done that I wanted to do in terms of traditional 'relaxing' (things such as take naps, read books, watch movies or declutter my phone)....what I have done in a big way is visit. People have been around pretty much every night until late and I'm short on sleep but happy to spend the time. Chris left today, along with my brother and his new wife...so that's a few less people..but I'm sure I'll still have lots of visiting going on until I leave..if not here, then with me going to them. So maybe I'll worry less about the amount of reading I'm getting done (not that I'm really worried), and just worry about how I'm going to fit in all of the visiting!!! :)
