Lousy

'Lousy' refers to two things. One, I am lousy at updating this blog and two I am feeling lousy at the moment. The former can only be helped by me updating the blog more often, the later will only be helped when both my own and my kids colds are gone.

So, the last time I posted was just to inform everyone of some pictures posted of our vacation in NB this summer...and I didn't even finish posting all of my pictures!
My visit home was a whirlwind, and far too short. The first half of my visit was disgustingly hot and humid draining my will to do anything or get in touch with anyone, and the second half was rainy and crammed full of trying to see everyone I didn't have the energy to get in touch with the first half. In the end I got to spend LOTS of time with a few people that are VERY important to me, but still didn't get to see everyone I'd hoped to touch base with. I did get to spend some time in Halifax with my brother in his new house which was fun, but unfortunately Rusty decided to go crazy on us when we went out and did lots of damage to Daniel's new powder room. Grrr.
The flights to NB and from NB went surprisingly well, considering we were travelling with two hyper little girls under two. That was a blessing.

Coming home was a bit nuts, it took me most of the month of August to even begin to feel like I was home again, and get everything back in order. We didn't do anything for the girls birthdays, just had the family over for the cake and gift opening. I rediscovered what a big job chairing the maintenance committee was here at my complex, although I am feeling slightly more organized now. I still have lots to do there though.

Since coming home we've taken up new hobbies. Chris is doing well with golf, and I've converted my freshwater aquarium to saltwater. Don't have much in it yet, just LOTS of live rock, a xenia coral, a candycane coral and two clownfish. I'm fighting algae bloom of the kind I had in the freshwater tank and it's frustrating me, although I still enjoy the tank. I am now down to 4 fish in total (I still have 2 betta's upstairs) but that's a big change from the freshwater 30+. I think eventually I will join Chris in golf, but for now will just enjoy it on the Wii.

I guess that's all the news here. The girls are growing and changing quickly, and have definately hit the defiant twos, but there is lots of fun in there as well. I'm hearing three is just as bad as two, so doesn't look good for a bit. :) The weather has been mostly rainy and cool with a bit of cool sunny days here and there but overall it's pretty typical. Life trundles on...
